Page numbers in pencil in the margin 1 through 9 (number 4 is repeated twice). Paul comments extensively on his dire financial situation, his debts and the matter of his pension, referring also to his impaired health. He asks C. P. Cavafy to communicate with him and help him. His intensifying stress is highlighted by the use of capital letters and underlining in parts of the text. Of note is the use of English and French words and phrases. (Hyères)
