Data underlying the publication: Sterilization of disposable face masks by means of standardized dry and steam sterilization processes; an alternative in the fight against mask shortages due to COVID-19 Dataset

Tim Horeman, J.J. (John) van den Dobbelsteen, D. (Daniel) Robertson, B. (Bart) van Straten,
There are widespread shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) as a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Reprocessing filtering facepiece respirators may provide an alternative solution in keeping health care professionals safe. Masks sterilized with multiple methods from numerous sources were tested with a new particle penetration test setup that was developed to test the mask material in a fast and accurate way. The filter capacity for particle sizes of 0.3 mu up to 5 mu is presented in this database.
